Hi Elisha,

This is a great response. I also chose to watch Charene Chapman-Santiago's episode of the series and I love how you dissected her teaching style when thinking about her multilingual classroom and specifically pointed out how she thinks of language through the lens of a linguistic toolbelt as we have been discussing all semester. I also appreciate how you mentioned that translanguaging isn't just a strategy but a deeper stance toward honoring students' full linguistic identities and pointed out specific instances in the readings of this week where translanguaging especially shines through. Your response thoughtfully encompassed our overarching theme that multilingual education thrives when schools treat language diversity as a foundation for community rather than a hurdle to overcome.
