In this course, you will investigate the cellular and molecular mechanisms that regulate embryonic development. The primary goal will be for you to explore core concepts and participate in the process of discovery. This will entail a deep but somewhat narrow investigation of an extremely broad and complex field. Topics will include cell polarity, cleavage, gastrulation, axis specification, patterning and organogenesis. Laboratory sessions will involve designing and implementing publishable research projects.
