I realize that this was a challenging week mathematically. It was also significant conceptually. For some of us the large amount of algebra was a big time sink, that made it hard to both finish the work and emphasize the conceptual learning.
I am happy to do these things:
i) Let you only turn in *two* out of the three Hand-In problems ... your choice of which two, by the usual deadline of Wednesday, April 14. (Or, turn them in up to 2 days late for 10% off.)
ii) Out of respect for those who found it possible to prepare *all three* hand-in problems: I'll still ask for that third problem. But you can turn it in *next week*, when the Week 10 hand-in problems will be due, on Wed April 21.
iii) To make room for this, I'll assign 2 problems (not 3) to be Hand-in problems in Week 10.
Hope this helps alleviate some of the pressure. I know the semester is getting intense ... it's the classic April at Swat ... with so much work due in all of our classes, seminars, comps presentations ... :-o .
