My experience at CRCQL has been positive and fulfilling. During the first few weeks, I felt like I was highly engaged and actively participating in various initiatives. Attending off-campus has been a smooth process, largely due to an increase in communication. I was able to attend the Monroe Energy hearing, where I was able to hear powerful testimonies from community members, environmental activists, medical professionals, and professors. CRCQL has been relatively busy given the political dynamic of the US. This chaos has made us productive, however, I have faced some challenges in balancing my academic workload with my internship commitments. With midterms approaching, I stepped back from active participation. I want to remain consistent in my engagement while also having the capacity to manage my academic responsibilities. Moving forward, my goal is to reestablish consistency and intentionality in attending meetings. I have reflected on the previous discussion we had about the efficiency of meetings and realized that too many meetings can sometimes be counterproductive. Instead of frequent but less impactful meetings, I want to explore a well-structured approach that doesn't burn me out as quickly. Overall, this experience has been fulfilling, and I am committed to enhancing my engagement strategies.
