Welcome to Introduction to Environmental Engineering (ENGR 67)! The goals of this course are to: (1) introduce students to problems and solution approaches in environmental engineering and (2) support students in their learning process. Each of you is capable of succeeding in this course.

ENGR 67 includes critical analysis of problems from both engineering and science perspectives through case studies in air, water, energy and waste resources. In this course, you will be introduced to a number of problem solving and research tools including the mass balance approach, spreadsheets, word processing, scientific instrumentation, and web-based tools. The course meets weekly for 2 hours of lecture and 2 hours of lab. This course will integrate lecture, discussion, problem solving, student projects, and hands-on laboratories involving computers, water quality instruments, electricity, and outdoor field activities.

This course will require active learning on your part.
