This course is designed to provide the student with the tools needed to handle data intelligently. The course covers the tools needed, namely probability and statistics. In addition, design of experiments will provide the tools needed as to how best gather the data that is most likely to provide the most accurate answer to a relevant question. When the student completes this course, he/she should be able to understand how to gather the necessary data and how to analyze and interpret it.
