Swahili is spoken by over 150 million people through East and Central Africa. Taught in Swahili, this course takes a hands-on, fun approach to building introductory skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing. students will engage with East African culture, learn colloquial vocabulary, examine music videos, experiment Swahili recipes and discuss enduring questions about the identity, politics and cultural change occurring among Swahili speakers.
