Two Questions and an Observation

Two Questions and an Observation

Couple new questions from this part of the paper:

In the second paragraph of section 5, there's an explicit call-out of these other people who modeled X-ray emission wrong (Zhekov & Palla). I feel like it's common to say “previous models have been incomplete” or to non-specifically call out other people in your sub-field, but are these brutal ad hominem attacks common and acceptable?

Secondly, Figure 9. The middle column shows results from this new (to use your words) “real” model, I think. But why is it a four-temperature model? I think we were modeling the wind as having a hot X-ray emitting part and a col X-ray absorbing part, which would only be a two-temperature model.

No band names this week, but I do have an observation: the third paragraph of section 5 mentions a paper you published in 1996. In 1996 I was three years old, so you're officially, like, Pretty Old.
