Behavioral neuroscience is a large field that encompasses a wide variety of topics, techniques, and theoretical perspectives. In this course, we will explore how modern neuroscience techniques are combined with carefully designed behavioral tasks to understand the neural basis of reward learning and motivated behavior. We will engage in group discussion of primary research and review articles, with an emphasis on rodent studies and effects of psychostimulant exposure.
